TRIBUTE GROVE

The Habonim-Dror Camp Tavor tribute grove was created in 2010 for our community to celebrate and remember family, friends, and those who have made a special contribution to camp. The grove reflects Tavor’s environmental commitments and labor roots by rejuvenating the working fruit orchard on present day camp property. Last year, the grove was initiated with the planting of trees in honor of Shelley Goldwater and in memory of Ari Lerman-Sinkoff (z”l). This year, we planted trees in recognition of the Detroit and Chicago Chai Commissions and Ron Sussman. We also planted a tree to honor Lenny Zurakov who served as camp director and camp committee chair. We invite each of you to join us in growing Tavor through supporting the tribute grove. For a minimum donation of $180, we will plant a tree, or for $360 we will revitalize one of the old apple trees in the grove. For more information, please contact either Michael Simon (simonm@karmanos.org) or Shelley Goldwater (camptavor@aol.com).
