Lakefront + Pool
Supervised by lifeguards and other trained staff members, our campers have the opportunity to swim and enjoy our lakefront every single day! On the first day of each camp session, we assess our campers’ swimming abilities and take note of each camper’s needs. Lessons can be organized for those campers who have not yet learned to swim. Both the pool and lake have ropes dividing the deep and shallow ends and only proficient swimmers may cross over to the deep side.
We also have boating at Camp Tavor. All campers may participate in canoeing and row boating with lifeguard supervision. Those campers who would like to use our single person kayaks are able to take a kayak test at the beginning of the summer. Each age group has boating time during the week, including instruction on best boating practices.
We offer a lake swim on Saturday mornings for our strongest swimmers. Campers swim across the lake and back for a fun morning workout. Lifeguards stand by on rowboats for campers who wish to take a rest or end their swim.
