Saturday
- Optional Morning Activities
These activities include a lake swim, arts and crafts, prayers, storytelling, helping to prepare breakfast, or sleeping in.
- Breakfast
We always serve fresh, hot, homemade, regular, and chocolate chip pancakes; cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, and hot chocolate on Saturday morning.
- Shabbat Choice Activity 1- Reflective Discussion Groups
Campers are given many options to choose from and can join a different group each week. Activities can include discussing current events, interesting books, movies, or articles, storytelling, discussing topics on Israel or Judaism and self-expression (art projects and creative writing).
- Tavor Bowl
This is our homegrown version of the traditional college bowl. Campers enhance their knowledge of Camp Tavor, the Habonim Dror movement, and camp legends, while participating in an afternoon of fun.
- Lunch
Saturday lunch is usually an outdoor BBQ. Yum!
- Rest Time
Campers have a chance to relax, read books, write letters, listen to music or take a nap.

- Shabbat Choice Activity 2 — Fun Activity Groups
Afternoon choice groups change every week and focus on fun. They can include hiking through our campsite, reading, sports, arts and crafts, cooking, and much more.
- Musicale
We are so talented at Camp Tavor that we can separate music from the rest of our performance talents. Any camper or group of campers may sign up to perform in this weekly event. Many clubs that met during the week perform at this time as well. We have singing, dancing, playing of musical instruments, joke-telling, and more.
- Dinner
On Saturday night, Tavor serves up its famous homemade pizza. There is also a salad bar available. We even make gluten-free and vegan pizzas.
- Welcoming the New Week (Havdallah)
We all gather together under the blanket of stars overlooking lovely Lake Kaiser. We sing, join together with candles, wine, and spices to say the Havdallah prayers and take time to listen to soothing music and prepare for the coming week.
- Campfire (Medurah)
Hosted by the Bogrim, the medurah is complete with funny skits, jokes, sing-a-longs, and dance and, of course, a campfire. After the fun outdoors we all enjoy a bowl of ice cream in the dining hall.
