Why Give to Camp Tavor
For 70 years, Camp Tavor has been more than a summer sanctuary. It has served as a defining community where chanachimot (campers) discover who they are, build lifelong friendships, and learn to live their values. Grounded in the progressive values of the worldwide Habonim Dror Youth Movement, Camp Tavor empowers young people to dream of and build a more just and peaceful world. We provide an inclusive community where kids have fun being themselves while developing a strong sense of social and environmental responsibility, a caring connection with Israel, and a positive personal Jewish identity.
Today’s youth navigate a complex, fast-changing world. In a culture filled with constant digital noise, the screen-free environment of machaneh (camp) is sacred. Free from algorithms and notifications, Tavor provides youth with a rare space to think critically, deliberate their values, make their own choices, and lead one another. They need the magic, intentional community, and empowerment of machaneh now more than ever.

As we gathered in June for our 70th Anniversary Reunion, we reflected on a remarkable legacy of hagshama, actualizing our vision through generations of youth-led empowerment. Across seven decades, Tavor has nurtured thousands of young people to lead with empathy, courage, and purpose.
Together, we can ensure that the next generation of Tavorniks inherit the progressive Jewish values, creative independence, and vibrant community they need to lead us into the next 70 years.
