This year, rising 11th graders can join with campers from all 6 North American Habonim Camps for a 4-week trip to Israel. After returning, campers have the option to come Tavor for a Shabbat weekend. The weekend is also open to those who do not attend MBI.

Madatz is our leadership training program for campers entering 12th grade.

The program focuses on opportunities to develop communication, leadership, and facilitation skills.

Madatz participants facilitate camp-wide activities and activities for campers and will also develop, and coordinate a project that will contribute to Camp Tavor for the next generation of Tavor chanichimot (campers)!

Camp Tavor offers a wide range of options for your summer with us. Including two Taste of Tavor programs for campers entering 2rd and 3rd grade. For Summer 2024 we are also offering a Mini Taste of Tavor Shabbat weekend*.

*This program offering is contingent on registration and will be assessed in the spring.

If you are a camper in 3rd - 8th grade you can register for Session One or Session Two, or you can register for both for a full and robust summer! If you register for the full summer (first and second sessions) you will receive up to 10% off your summer total per camper.

You can find information about refunds and cancelation policies on our FAQ page.

At Camp Tavor campers pool their money into a kupa (common fund). The campers then work collaboratively to decide on special activities (roller-skating, ice-cream trips, etc.) that will be covered by the community's kupa. These funds also help stock a kupa cabinet with toothpaste, soap, shampoo, stamps, batteries, and other camp essentials.

Contributing to kupa is a truly wonderful way for campers to actualize camp values and work with each other to make decisions and take ownership of their camp community. Kupa will be indicated as an additional line item in your camp billing statement.

Camp Tavor will be offering bus service in Summer 2024 at the start and end of each session:

  • Buses leave from Skokie, IL with a stop in Hammond, IN. and another bus pick up in Oak Park, MI with a stop in Ann Arbor, MI.

Exact times and locations will be sent directly to registered families and guardians only.

One-way trip = $85

Round-trip = $170

The travel expense will be absorbed into your tuition at the end of the summer and can be paid off as part of any installment arrangement. If you are applying for a scholarship, please include the above added cost in your summaries.
