HELP: Turning Trash to Treasure: Get Creative with Found Object Art at Machaneh Tavor!

A message from the 2024 Beit O Specialists…

Shabbat Shalom Machaneh Tavor! We are so excited to make art with you this summer! This summer, we are especially excited to make “found object” art and murals, incorporating materials from recycling, trash, and objects around us, like these:

ree

While we will be using lots of materials from camp, we wanted to create an opportunity for you all to bring any objects you may have lying around your house, especially if they would otherwise be thrown away! Some things we are looking for:

  • Bottles, jars, cans, bottle caps

  • Plastic figures, toys, charms

  • Beads, buttons, plastic bead necklaces,

  • Magazines, newspapers

  • Shells

  • Rulers

  • Old kitchen utensils/dishware

  • CDs

  • Dead batteries

  • Fabrics, old clothes

  • Any objects you have to be repurposed into art!

We will collect them on the first day of camp. We are so excited for a summer of art and whimsy!!!

Tal, Lucy, and Allison

P.S.

If you would like to package them up and ship them to camp - you can reach out to Randy@camptavor.org for details or check for the address to Camp Tavor in your CampinTouch accounts under the Forms & Documents tab.
